Mammoth Caves
We stopped by Mammoth Caves National Park on Sunday.
We took a 3 hour, 3 mile walk by lantern light through part of the cave.

A view of the scenery above the ground

The entrance to the caves.

Not far inside, looking back to the entrance.

It was quite dark., but there were some lights in the first part of the cave,

but mostly

we walked by the light of

15 handheld lanterns

that at one time were all confiscated by one of the guides

There were about 45 people on the trip

and often this was about all we could see!!!!

Another typical view inside the cave.
