  • Notes 
    • Daniel was born in the small Oxfordshire Town of Great Tew. Great Tew is about 25 km north of Oxford. He became, like all other male members of his family, an Agricultural Labourer.
      Daniel, with his wife Harriet , and their family of 8 children sailed from England to Nelson on the SS `ADAMANT' and arrived in Nelson on the 13 Aug 1874. They settled in Karamea. [2]
