During a recent trip by car from Michigan to Nova Scotia I stopped in at Harvey Station "on the way by" (compared to the 1,550 miles from Caledonia, Michigan to Halifax, Nova Scotia, it wasn't far off the Trans-Canada Highway at all!!!!!!).
It is quite likely, although not yet proven, that Catherine H(o)uliston, who was one of the original Harvey settlers with her husband James Mowatt is my great great great great aunt - sister to my great great great grandfather Robert Houliston who emigrated to New Zealand with his wife and 8 of their 9 children in 1860.So here are a few pictures I took that day - 30 June 2007.
