  • Notes
    • Janet Bethia Dewar wrote in her piece “John Dewar - An Otago Pioneer” that Uncle Jack’s wife was somehow connected to the family of William Lee Plunket of the Plunket Shield Cricket contest in New Zealand . This was named by/for William Lee Plunket who was 5th Baron Plunket and was Governor General of New Zealand from 1904 to 1910.
